Nosou™ (野素有) is a contemporary design brand born in a small mountain village in Okayama, Japan, through the dialogue between natural materials and Japanese craftsmanship. Surrounded by the Satoyama landscape — where nature and people coexist in close harmony — we cultivated the core values that define our brand: natural materials, craftsmanship, and the philosophy of “Time makes beauty.”
We focus on the primal beauty inherent in natural materials and regard the transformations that emerge over time as a form of meaningful beauty. Looking beyond bamboo, Nosou™ will continue to expand its collections by incorporating traditional crafts passed down across Japan, including washi paper making, sakan plasterwork, and stone masonry. Through collaborations between nature and human craftsmanship, we aim to create new designs with enduring value that transcend time.
Nosou™（野素有）は、日本・岡山の小さな山村で生まれた、自然素材と日本の職人技との対話から生まれるコンテンポラリーデザインブランドです。
自然と人が密接に共生する里山の風景に囲まれながら、私たちは「自然素材」「職人技」、そして”Time makes beauty”という、ブランドの核となる価値観を育んできました。
私たちは自然素材の根源的な美しさに注目し、時間の経過とともに現れる変化そのものを価値のある美しさと捉え、竹にとどまらず、和紙づくり、左官、石工など、日本各地に受け継がれる伝統技術を取り入れながらコレクションを広げていき、自然と人の手仕事との協働を通して、時を超えて価値を持ち続ける新たなデザインを生み出していきます。
